Information

Sense have been involved in a number of strategic studies to house "max-packed" high density IT cabinets encompassing the potential provision of water-cooled IT cabinets and cabinet duties ranging from 3.5kVA to 15kVA.

Complex structural alterations were considered to address the potential requirements of plant replacement strategies.

Plant options focussed on the feasibility of creating a new energy centre or alternatively extending "building-block" central plant to incorporate new plant requirements.

Because the project sought to extend existing data hall space options needed to be evaluated to ensure that equivalent resilience, redundancy and plant capacity was incorporated as well as enhancing existing to meet current loadings.

Following receipt of financial approval to proceed, Sense reported on tendering procedures and produced highly detailed cost matrices of returned tenders and subsequently delivered the final account on budget.

The projects were delivered against a fast-track programme within a live data centre alongside another live project.

Other consultants included Hoare Lee as services engineers.
