Information

Sense was the first consultant employed by the bank and were asked to provide strategic cost advice relating to a number of potential sites identified within a shortlist.

By employing cost modelling tools based upon assessed loads and key plant capacities, Sense were able to provide detailed cost models based upon high level design parameters (for example resilience and power levels) early in the development of the scheme

Sense was asked to prepare Request for Proposal documentation for the appointment of services and project management consultants and, in conjunction with the bank's team, interview and recommend the successful consultants for approval.

The project comprised delivery of 22,000 ft2 of complete data hall nett area and all associated infrastructure for the Day 1 delivery and was completed in late 2007. The site also includes a disaster recovery office facility of approximately 87,000ft2. Project complexities include the construction of new 3 level electrical plantrooms and the installation of a new mezzanine deck above the new data halls. All works are being carried out around an existing data hall facility occupied by another bank.
