Como picked up its third BCO award at the regional BCO south west awards dinner in Bristol on 13th May. The fit out for Johnson & Johnson's new head office situated in the middle of 26 acres of woodland area in Wokingham won the Best Fit out of Workplace award and was hailed by the judges as "visually stunning and a truly enlightening place to be".
Designed by TP Bennett, the 120,000 square foot fit out incorporated an eye care training institute for the world's leading eye surgeons and opticians, together with office space to accommodate 500 employees and a gymnasium. This was the second project Como completed for Johnson & Johnson after successfully finishing the fit out of the company's office in High Wycombe.
John Morriss, Como board director who oversaw the project, commented: "We were delighted to work with Johnson & Johnson on another project and also with consultants TP Bennett, Faithful & Gould and MH Associates. Winning the BCO award is the cherry on the top!"
