Passionate about quality, Como's latest project suited them down to the ground. With the kind of style, clients have come to expect from Como, the team recently delivered the fit out of an executive floor for a leading American investment bank in Canary Wharf.
Como was appointed on the project in May last year on a construction management contract and achieved practical completion on 12 January 2009. Led by David Messer and Rob Hatton, the works required an intricate level of workmanship and coordination between all involved in the project.
Incorporating exceptional finishes and products sources from all over the world, the scope of works consisted of the strip out and fit out of an executive floor with a spacious reception area, executive offices and state of the art fine dining facilities. Key features included the extensive custom made joinery and acoustic ceiling panels. Always keen to go the extra mile, Como commissioned an O&M training video for the removal and replacement of the ceiling panels. The video provides a step by step guide for the bank's facilities team who were delighted with the extra addition.
Designed by American architect Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, this is the first in a series of global projects by the bank.
