Mace Group is proud to be working once again with long term client Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, on the reconstruction and renovation of this 1896 hotel in the centre of Paris. The hotel, whose original owner was Roland Bonaparte, the grandson of Napoleon Bonaparte's brother, has been bought by the Shangri-La Hotel group but was in need of extensive renovation, reconstruction and extension.
For Mace Group the project comprises two adjacent buildings spanning 10 and 8 Avenue Iena. 10 Iena, former home of Roland Bonaparte, required a complex re-structuring to adapt the structure create function rooms, a ballroom and a spa and pool complex.
Key features:
- 101 rooms in total (81 in the main building, 20 in the extension)
- 3 public restaurants (Cantonese, French brasserie, French Gastronomic) and 1 staff restaurant.
- 18 function rooms, lounges and areas are listed and protected under the French historic monuments register.
- 7 main kitchens and 17 offices
- 1 spa with a 15 x 6m swimming pool
- Creation of two levels of basement
- 1 private garden of 600m²
The works started in January 2008 and are scheduled to complete in mid-2010.
