Mace's skilled fit out and CDM teams helped UK media regulator Ofcom with the delivery of its new headquarters on the banks of London's River Thames.
Mace was initially asked by Ofcom to assess the suitability of the space in Riverside House to accommodate its operation and undertake a due diligence assessment of the base building. Having leased the space, Ofcom were on a tight timetable to bring together several separate regulatory groups with quite differing IT and monitoring functions under one department. Mace quickly assembled a project team, collected the brief, developed the space plan, price and programme to occupation. Mace took total responsibility for ensuring Ofcom's requirements were met and that their staff were relocated to the building under a single agreement and price.
The project comprised the Cat A fit out of 150,000 ft2. Mace provided a ‘one stop' service including project management, design, fit out and migration using a 2 stage JCT contract with contractors design, using an open book approach to conclude a fixed lump sum.

- Fast track programme
- Open book / partnership approach
