Mace Technology was appointed in the early stages of this development to provide pre-construction advice and planning services to the client and design team. During 2008 the project design was formulated and tendered on a single stage fixed price basis to a number of construction and fit out companies. Mace Technology emerged as the successful contractor and commenced work on the pre-construction activities.

The project is to fit out the substructure with two subterranean floors of data halls and three floors of car park together with the fit out and construction of two floors of high specification offices above ground with a new reception and entrance hall.

The exterior incorporates stone cladding from Germany and Portugal, Brise Soleil and curtain walling from the UK, with capital plant from France, Italy, Germany and the UK. The project has been fully 3D modelled by Mace Technology to provide a 100% coordinated scheme, this has been particularly important due to the underground nature of the facility and the complex service routes.

The project is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is home to a number of prominent residents whose homes and gardens back onto the development. Additionally it is home to a number of rare animals who's habitats have been carefully managed and relocated to facilitate the construction. The project is targeted to achieve a "Good" BREEAM rating.
