Mace helps with IESE Surrey Public Estate Review

08/02/2010

Mace has been engaged to work with Improvement and Efficiency South East (IESE) and Surrey authorities to assist with the preparation of an outline business case to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency of Surrey's public sector estate. The review will include not only Surrey County Council's assets but properties owned by the district and borough councils, police, PCT and other public bodies.

As part of the work, Mace is building a property analysis tool kit to analyse the vast amount of property data that will be collected, help the client prioritise where the biggest savings can be generated and identify projects that can move into the implementation phase as early as possible.

Jeremy Oakes, Mace Project Manager says: "This is a great opportunity to be involved in a strategic piece of work that will be noticed on the national stage using IESE as the platform. There is a real desire for this not to be just an academic business case that sits on the shelf, but something that identifies an actual plan to deliver real benefits."

The outline business case is scheduled to be delivered in September 2010.
