Mace Group to attend BSEC exhibition and conference 2010

14/01/2010
This February, Mace will join key representatives of the UK’s education sector at the fifth Building Schools Exhibition & Conference taking place at ExCeL London, the largest event for those involved in the design, construction and management of schools. Mace is involved in all current major UK government education programmes, from BSF to academies, schools to universities and has worked on some of the largest and most prestigious projects within the sector.
Described as ‘pivotal’ and ‘unmissable’ this year the BSEC conference is more important than ever as Chairman Stephen Heppell explains: “In the ten months since the last BSEC event it’s become clear that we’re entering a critical phase in the UK’s ambition to roll out the next generation of 21st Century learning spaces.”
Subjects covered at the conference will include: the future of the BSF and Primary Capital programmes after the general election, the new direction for academies, the results of transformational education, what the current economic climate means for future procurement, the progress of the Zero Carbon Task Force and the revolutionary use of ICT and ILT to transform both teaching and learning.
As part of the conference programme, David Bill, Mace director for public sector in the South East will be taking part in a panel discussion on schools capital programmes for the future to help gain insight on what government policy could mean for the nature of future investment in the schools estate, including the nature of a new academies programme and how the fundamental need for investment can be reconciled with the imperative of cost improvement.
