Mace is a leader in construction and consulting procurement and supply chain management. Mace's innovative and collaborative approach, utlising a specialist Supply Chain Management (SCM) team with expertise in OJEU and local contract regulations, which are supported by robust and transparent systems and processes. This enables Mace the ability to offer its client reliable and economic appointment of contractors. SCM's core activity is to supply supply chain solutions and procurement strategies.
Mace processes adhere to the Mace Quality Policy, providing strict guidelines outlining specific procedures and documentation required in line with defined stages of the procurement process and defined methods for supply chain management.
At Mace all trade contractors and suppliers are approved via the SCM team prior to use on any projects. The criteria by which they are assessed is via an online prequalification questionnaire and meetings with the companies themselves in order to confirm their suitability.
In order to operate a coordinated approach, Mace, through SCM, ensure that measurement of the supply chain's performance is an integral part of Mace's business. This performance measurement is critical in making assessments of contractors' strengths, weaknesses, capability and capacity, and also ensures that the preferred contractor list is maintained. Therefore project teams measure each trade contractors performance for feedback & sharing with Mace personnel and the trade contractors themselves. Trade contractor development takes place utilising this valuable information, also benefiting our clients through improved performance.
Through the use of leading edge technology in partnership with our supply chain we can continue to bring best in class solutions to our clients. Mace have established a two-way communication route for our people and our suppliers in ForeSite. The ForeSite system allows for the collection and publication of trade package and equipment lead times.
